Дерек Фрэй родился 23 апреля 1973 г.

Был режиссером фильмов: The Ballad of Sandeep (2011), The Day the Dolls Struck Back (2002), Awkward Endeavors (2021) и др., участвовал в создании сериала The Book Club for Men (2023).

Участвовал в написании сценариев к фильмам: Капитан Спарки против летающих тарелок (2013), The Day the Dolls Struck Back (2002), Green Lake (2016) и др.

Принимал участие в съемках и озвучивании фильмов: Крупная рыба (2003), UFO: The Burbank Chronicles (1999), Bigfoot: Encounter in Burbank (1998) и др.
