Сигеру Миямото родился 16 ноября 1952 г.

Был режиссером фильма Kirby 3D (2012), руководил производством игр: Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (2007), Paper Mario: Sticker Star (2012), Super Mario 64 DS (2004) и др.

Участвовал в написании сценариев к фильмам: Super Mario Brothers: Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach (1986), The Legend of Zelda: The Sage of Darkness (2008), играм: Super Mario Galaxy (2007), Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008), Sûpâ Mario 3D rando (2011) и др.

Выполнял функции продюсера игр: Super Mario Galaxy (2007), Super Mario Galaxy 2 (2010), Eternal Darkness: Sanity`s Requiem (2002) и др.
